Water cavities of sH clathrate hydrate stabilized by molecular hydrogen
Article Abstract:
Storage of molecular hydrogen in the cavities of binary sH clathrate hydrate with guest molecules to stabilize the large cavities is investigated using x-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. The resulting increase in hydrogen storage by more than 40 percent indicates its potential for use with other inclusion compounds with a larger hydrogen storage capability under high pressure.

Water cavities of sH clathrate hydrate stabilized by molecular hydrogen: phase equilibrium measurements
Article Abstract:
Phase equilibrium studies show that the structure of sH of hydrogen clathrate hydrate can be stabilized by the using selected promoters. It is seen that using tetrahydrofuran as promoter, the hydrogen storage capacity of 1.0 percent for structure sII of hydrogen clathrate hydrate is increased to about 1.4 percent for structure sH.
